In 2011 the Museum of Music began digitizing its main archive collections : this project is to last several years.
Examples of archives awaiting processing and digitization:
- Pleyel collection (technical drawings)
- Letters by Louis-Joseph-Ferdinand Hérold and Sébastien Érard (early 19th century)
- Musical teaching methods (manuscripts and old editions)
- Tolbecque catalogue
Several patrons support the museum’s digitization campaign: notably, the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication (Ministry of Culture and Communication) for the entire collection, and the Palazzetto Bru Zane – Centre de Musique Romantique Française (Center for French Romantic Music) for the Érard, Pleyel and Gaveau collections.Should you wish to contribute to this project, please write to firstname.lastname@example.org
